Reflecting On Music Video Challenge

When we filmed our whole class video for 'In The Sun' I was in charge of the lightning of each shot, if we needed to use the lights or if it wasn't necessary to use them and just have natural lighting or lights that are already at that locations being used. Also it wasn't a job but everyone needed to be in charge of and film at least one of the shots for the clip. When doing this is was quite easy because everyone was well prepared and ready to just do the shot so I didn't need to say what people needed to do in the shot just when I was about to film to get ready and for them all to begin moving. This was good because it showed everyone was well prepared for it and that made it an easy shot to get done and film.

The lighting wad quite an easy role to take on because once I knew how to set the lights up it was quick and easy to get them into the correct place to allow me to get the lighting needed to make the shot look as similar and good as the lighting that was in the official 'In The Sun' video. Most of the time it was not necessary to set up the lights because the lights that were already in the corridor made it look similar to the shot from the video or for some of the shots we were able to use natural lighting, for example, all of the shots in the gym because it already provided enough light to make the shot look good enough. However when we did use the lights I feel that they were set up well enough so that we got the effect that we wanted from them and they were done properly so the lighting was similar enough to the shots in the 'In The Sun' video.
